I've always loved the refreshing feeling of walking barefoot in the grass or on a beach. Since learning about the physical benefits of regaining a connection with the Earth, I've tried to spend as much time as possible 'earthed'. It is not always easy or practical to do this in our modern lives so I've resorted to using a grounding mat whilst sleeping and at the computer.
Whilst this gives my friends another excuse to tease me for being a tree-hugger - there is a scientifically verifiable reason why we feel better when we have an electrical connection to the Earth, and in fact there is growing evidence that this connection is vital for our health and wellbeing.
